Dogwood Logistics LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (“SDVOSB”) and was certified as such by the Center for Veterans Enterprise, US Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, DC in 2022. (A certification and re-certification process that is repeated every three years.) What does this mean to you?
First, that the majority owners of Dogwood Logistics have disabilities as a result of military service that have been formally reviewed and recognized over a lengthy validation and examination process– and that these same owners take an active role in the day-to-day operations of the company.
Second, that Dogwood Logistics’ leadership and personnel have the operational background and experience appropriate to this sort of operation. They also ensure that we have the appropriate transportation, logistics, and operational certifications and licensing needed at the international, federal, state and local level for operations such as ours, and that these certifications and licenses are married to the above operational background and experience.
Fourthly, the agency examined documents such our our internal Operating Agreement and Amendments to ensure that operational control remains firmly in the hands of Service-Disabled Veteran owners. And finally, the agency examined our tax returns (including those of its veteran owners), bank statements, lines of credits and other financial records to ensure that Dogwood Logistics (and its principals) have both financial stability and capability.
